HERBERT REMINDER

Hi world, Hello family,
Today our part of the planet is one soul lighter, Herbie Reminder died early this afternoon. Most of the world will not mourn his passing or his life. But I will. He was My moms friend, her project, an old boyfriend of hers.
Herbie was a pain in the ass, and Herbie was fun to pick on, and Herbie made a mess of his life, and during the course of it lost everything that mattered. But he was also family of Ours, as much as we might at times want to deny it. At times you wanted him to go away, and you felt some sorrow at the mess he made of the life he had. Herbie had a family once, a wife, two sons, plenty of money, a nice home. Alcohol took most of it away. A life time of abuse, mostly I think to mask the pain from a severe back injury, and then maybe just a mask. Herbie loved to hunt, to smoke his Pall Malls, and gamble. He was a man of many vices, but he was also a man that could be generous and kind, sometimes even funny.
My Mom took care of Herbie to his end, even though he spent alot of time making her mad, or hurting her feelings. But somewhere deep I think she loved the little guy, hell I did too...
But today she can put aside that help and he can see once again , I hope, his son that preceeded him in death and a mother he idolized. I hope and believe God has Herb now in a better place, that he has been freed of his pain and addictions and finally he is at peace....

Our newest Grandson Jordon, his Daddy is in Iraq, but got leave in July to see his son born. Our hopes and prayers are with him.

Hello everyone out there I am new to this so bear with me. I know its a catchy title randys world. but here where I sit, it is. Just a little about me I am a 47 year old husband, father, and grandfather. I am a conservative . I want to try this, to see if there are other people out there like me that feel or country is politically on the right track for the first time in years (of course i know my brother Barry wont think so lol). I want talk about my family, and my grand kids, and our little piece of heaven in the good old USA. I look foward to my family getting in on this and letting me know what they think and where they stand on things. so here goes( as i push the publish button)
